SoundBrake is a local desktop application. This Privacy Policy describes the data practices for both the application and this website.

1. The Application

SoundBrake runs entirely on your computer. It does not:

• Collect or transmit any personal information.
• Make any network connections during normal operation.
• Include analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry of any kind.
• Store data outside of your own machine.

The only files SoundBrake writes locally are:

• soundbrake.log — a plain-text log stored in your user config directory (%APPDATA%\SoundBrake\ on Windows, ~/.config/SoundBrake/ on Linux/macOS). This file never leaves your machine and can be deleted at any time.
• silence.dat — a single timestamp written when you activate "Silence for 24 hours". It is automatically removed after it expires or when you cancel silence.

2. This Website and Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Regarding advertising and cookies:

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

3. Cookies

This website itself does not set cookies for analytics or tracking. Cookies may be set by Google AdSense as described above. You can disable or clear cookies through your browser settings.

4. Third-Party Links

This website links to GitHub, Ko-fi, and other third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their individual privacy policies.

5. Children's Privacy

SoundBrake is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we make any changes to this policy, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
